Voting How-To’s For This November

With so much uncertainty in our lives because of COVID, I wanted to update you with information on your options to vote headed forward.  Elections can be complicated and stressful, and I hope you find this information useful.  Believe it or not, Vote-by-Mail Ballots will be arriving within the month!  And you only have until this month to register.

To be clear, you have THREE options to vote: Vote-by-Mail, In-Person Early Voting, or traditional In-Person Election Day Voting.  There is more information on each option below so you can make the best option for yourself given your personal comfort, health considerations, and individual preferences.  For your convenience, there are also FAQ’s and Important Dates.

#1: Vote-by-Mail

WHAT
You can enroll in Vote-by-Mail online or over the phone.  Requesting a Vote-by-Mail ballot by October 1 does not require you to use this option, but rather sends a ballot to your house.  You can then return your Vote-by-Mail ballot in one of three ways:
1. By Mail – A mail ballot may be returned via the Postal Service and must be received by 7 p.m. on Election Day
2. Any Early Voting location during the hours of operation via secure drop box
You can bypass the signature validation feature of Vote-by-Mail by showing your ID to someone at the dropbox during Early Voting!  This means you are just dropping off your ballot with an ID like in-person voting, except your ballot has been filled in advance
3. In Person: Miami-Dade Elections Department 2700 NW 87th Avenue, Miami, FL 33172 Stephen P. Clark Center Voter Information Center 111 NW 1st Street, Miami, FL 33128
